His Hill Ministry Partners Update

It is our privilege to have you join with us in the ministry here at His Hill. We desire and pray that His Hill would be used to introduce people to Christ and to encourage them to grow in the Life that we have in Him. 

We would like for people like you to pray how the Lord would have you be involved in the Ministry here.

There are three main ways you can be involved and support His Hill: first by praying, second by practical involvement and third by financial support.

1. Prayer

Nothing is more vital than God Himself and the supply of His strength, wisdom, humility and grace. His work is a spiritual one, one we are not able to perform. He must do it. Pray that His work by His Spirit according to His Word will be done in the hearts of the staff, students and campers.

Operation: Please pray for God's provision for making improvements to the property and for meeting obligations. 

Students: Pray that each student would humbly seek to apply all that God reveals. Pray that God will move in their hearts for helping with the summer program and that their parents will be supportive of that decision. Pray that they will know God's calling for the vocation He has for them.

Staff: Pray that they will grow in their relationship with Christ. Pray that the staff children will love Christ and will walk with Him. 

Enrollment: Pray for a full enrollment for September 2006 (55-65 students)

2. Volunteer Projects

We can always use help! There is always plenty to do. Come for a few days, a week, or more and help with painting, vehicle maintenance, construction on the new house, or getting the cabins and activities ready for camp.

3. Donations

This year, with low enrollment, we are in greater need of donation assistance from our former students and other friends. Contributions are tax deductible for Americans. All checks must be made payable to "Torchbearers" or "His Hill".

Practical needs: Completion of the new staff house, new carpeting in the chapel, pavilion added to the pool area, two new dorms inside the loop, renovation and construction of other staff homes.

Scholarships: Every year there are students and campers who would not be able to come to His Hill if it were not for the generous support of contributors. Quite a few potential students are turned away because of insufficient funds. 

Staff Support: All the staff need support. His Hill pays a small monthly stipend. Each staff member needs regular monthly support. This is a big need. Pray about supporting an individual staff member or the staff as a whole.
